How DomeLyfe came to life!
The vision and unique design came from this creator was inspired by nature and the previous pioneer of Buckminster Fuller. Knowing that being in a space of curves and natural creation things felt more harmonious.
Why Modular?
Choosing modular was something thoroughly researched and found to be the best for designing and quality control for this type of building. Being modular you are able to ship anywhere in the world and DIY build. With higher quality control of materials and parts, more precise building pieces being made in a controlled environment. The pros outweigh the cons for modular building of these dome homes.
Why 6m Domes?
The 6 meter dome is only the beginning of where this style dome home can go. There are already visions and designs of larger domes that will be available in the future where we can accommodate additional connecting domes and building larger domes with multi levels to maximise the living space of the areas.

Design and Engineering
All components of the domes have been engineered to handle all the forces and stresses of nature and the building weight.
Each piece has been critiqued by our group of engineers to perform to the highest engineering standards.
Our designer engineers have calculated the forces for this dome to handle cyclone wind conditions.
Materials of Sustainability
Hemp, the material of a sustainable future! Used for centuries, and proven to be strong to withstand the environment over time, hemp is the prime choice for the material used for building the dome homes.
A special Hemp Lime mixture forms the shell of this designed dome. Using specially made sphere shaped moulds, the hemp lime is set in and hardened over time to a precise measurement to fit perfectly with each other around the geodesic frame.
Durable Products & Low Impact Materials
The team has done its best right now to create a strong durable product that has the lowest impact on the environment using materials that will last a lifetime. Mild steel that is corrosion protected, is strong and is low impact to the environment for the strength and durability it can offer.
Double glazing glass uses more material to produce though has excellent thermal properties to prevent less energy use to heat and cool the dome.
Hardwood struts are used for their strength as softwood does not have the strength required to support what the structure needs.
